Birmingham:

Norwich defender Michael Turner denied Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert a victory against his former club by equalizing late in a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Saturday.

Christian Benteke justified Lambert's decision to drop Darren Bent from his starting line-up for the third time in four matches by slotting in Villa's opener in the 27th minute.

But Villa was forced to defend resolutely after left back Joe Bennett was sent off early in the second half, before Turner earned Norwich a point, leaving the hosts with just one win in its past 19 league matches.
