Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall held his former club Norwich to a 0-0 draw Saturday in the Premier League that piled further pressure on Canaries boss Chris Hughton.
Norwich dominated much of the game but were thwarted repeatedly by Marshall to remain in 18th place in the 20-team standings, only above Crystal Palace and Sunderland.
His counterpart John Ruddy also denied Jordon Mutch at point-blank range to keep the game scoreless.
Norwich forward Gary Hooper had numerous opportunities to open his Premier League account, but failed to do so and Hughton's decision to substitute the former Celtic striker 18 minutes from time was met with cries of "you don't know what you're doing."
Norwich did have the ball in the net in the final moments, but it was disallowed as Leroy Fer was expected to return the ball to the goalkeeper following a throw-in.
