Luis Suarez's desire to move out of Liverpool has not gone down well with fans of the club. Media reports suggest the footballer is receiving life threats through Twitter.
The 26-year-old Uruguayan striker has been sought by Arsenal and while Liverpool have repeatedly thwarted bids, the club has also been told that Suarez himself isn't interested in continuing.
Anfield fans though largely seem to want him to stay on. "If by any chance Liverpool do accept a bid, and you move, I will find you and I will kill you," posted a fan on the players' official account on the micro-blogging site.
Liverpool fans are also angry at Arsenal for going the extra distance to woo their player. The 40-million pound bid from the north London club has been rejected by Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers but efforts to retain his key striker - one who became the first since Fernando Torres to score 30 goals in a single season - seem to be heading towards a solid block of wall, a fact fans are clearly unable to comprehend as in 2010, Suarez had signed a five and half year deal till 2016 for a record 22.8 million pounds.
Several fans now, have even posted messages reading "F**k off Arsenal!" to give vent to their anger, shock and surprise.
A few British newspapers report that police are investigating the death threats to Suarez.
