Inter Milan are set to cash in on the transfer of Brazilian defender Maicon to Manchester City, according to reports on Thursday.

Maicon's contract with the Nerazzurri will expire at the end of next season, meaning he could have left the club for free in June 2013.

Sky Sport Italia said Maicon, who plays at right-back for Brazil, had already agreed terms with the Premier League champions.

Inter are now reported to be hoping to net 4million euros, plus extra from various stipulations included in a new contract, from the deal.
