West Indies powered past South Africa to book their place in the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy.

West Indies powered past South Africa to book their place in the semi-finals of the ICC Champions Trophy. The match was continued on Saturday after rain had interrupted play on Friday. Needing 247 for victory, the Windies reached the target with seven balls to spare and five wickets in hand. Ramnaresh Sarwan top scored with 75 and Shivnarine Chanderpaul steered them to victory with 51 not out. The Proteas had scored 246 for 6 with Herschelle Gibbs hitting a century. He made 101 runs. The Windies will meet Pakistan in the semi-finals.
