Saurashtra beat UP by 17 runs (VJD) to enter the semi-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Karnataka also reach the last four after beating Mumbai by 57 runs (VJD) in their rain-hit game in Bengaluru.

In a sudden turn of events, Saurashtra lose two more wickets and are now three down in the chase of 311. Vipraj Nigam and Prashant Veer dismiss Gajjar Sammar (14) and Prerak Mankad (67) respectively. Currently, Devdutt Padikkal has been joined by Chirag Jani at the crease. 

SAU 162/3 (29.5 overs)

Karnataka have crossed the 100-run mark in the chase of 255 against Mumbai. Devdutt Padikkal and Karun Nair are forming a terrific and taking their side ahead in the game. Padikkal is looking in good touch and has brought up his half-century. 

KAR 112/1 (20 overs) vs MUM

Harvik Desai and Prerak Mankad are standing solid and forming a good partnership for Saurashtra in the chase of 311. Both the batters have brought up their respective half-centuries and confidently moving towards the target. Uttar Pradesh need a wicket in order to take the control back. 

SAU 142/1 (25 overs) vs UP

Karnataka openers Devdutt Padikkal and Mayank Agarwal are standing solid in the chase of 255. They are forming a good partnership and taking their side towards victory against Mumbai. 

KAR 40/0 (8 overs)

In the chase of 311, Saurashtra lose their first wicket in the form of Vishvasrajsinh Jadeja, who gets dismissed by Karan Choudhary for 9. Currently, Harvik Desai and Prerak Mankad are standing unbeaten for Saurashtra against UP. 

SAU 35/1 (8 overs)

Mumbai finished at 254/8 in 50 overs against Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Quarterfinal match. For Mumbai, Sham Mulani became the top scorer with 86 runs while Sairaj Patil scored 33. For Karnataka, Vidyadhar Patil took three wickets while Vidwath Kaverappa and Abhilash Shetty took two wickets each. 

Uttar Pradesh ended their innings at 310/8 in 50 overs against Saurashtra. For UP, Sameer Rizvi and Abhishek Goswami became the top scorers with 88 runs each. Apart from them, Priyam Garg and Prashant Veer scored 35 ad 30 runs respectively. For Saurashtra, Chetan Sakariya took three wickets while Ankur Panwar and Prerak Mankad took two wickets each. 

Mumbai have lost their sixth wicket as Suryansh Shedge departs for 16. He has been dismissed by Vidwath Kaverappa. Shams Mulani, who is nearing half-century, has been joined by Tanush Kotian at the crease. Mumbai are in deep trouble and these two batters have to form a partnership now. 

MUM 165/5 (39.3 overs) vs KAR

Sameer Rizvi is nearing his half-century against Saurashtra. Uttar Pradesh have crossed the 200-run mark with Rizvi and Vipraj Nigam stitching a solid seventh-wicket partnership. 

UP 235/6 (43 overs) vs SAU

Oh!!! Big wicket for Uttar Pradesh as they lose the strong Abhishek Goswami for 88 against Saurashtra. P Rana traps Goswami with his delivery as wicketkeeper Harvik Desai stumps him out. Fifth wicket gone for UP as Goswami misses out on a deserving ton. 

UP 179/5 (33.2 overs) vs SAU

Mumbai, who have lost four wickets against Karnataka, are slowly getting back on track as SD Lad and Shams Mulani are forming a good partnership. Lad is currently batting at 33 and inching towards his half-century. 

MUM 124/4 (31 overs) vs KAR

Abhishek Goswami is standing like a strong wall for Uttar Pradesh against Saurashtra. Goswami has completed his half-century and forming a partnership with Sameer Rizvi after skipper Rinku Singh departed. Terrific batting from Goswami. 

UP 145/4 (26 overs) vs SAU

Mumbai lose their fourth wicket as Hardik Tamore departs for 1 against Karnataka. Tamore gets dismissed by Vidwath Kaverappa as Shams Mulani joins SD Lad at the crease. Mumbai need a solid partnership from these two batters now. 

MUM 60/4 (17.2 overs) vs KAR

Uttar Pradesh lose their third wicket in the form of Priyam Garg, who gets dismissed by Prerak Mankad for 35. After his dismissal, skipper Rinku Singh walks out to bat and joins Abhishek Goswami at the crease. Goswami is also inching towards his half-century. 

UP 99/3 (17.4 overs) vs SAU

Mumbai lose another wicket as Musheer Khan becomes a prey of Vidyadhar Patil and departs for nine against Karnataka. Forming a good partnership with Angrkrish Raghuvanshi, Musheer gets caught by Devdutt Padikkal. Skipper SD Lad has joined Raghuvanshi at the crease for two-down Mumbai. 

MUM 46/1 (13.5 overs) vs KAR

OUT!!! Chetan Sakariya strikes again and provides Saurashtra with their second breakthrough of the day. This time, Rituraj Sharma becomes his prey and departs for 12. Rituraj is caught by Vishvaraj Jadeja in the deep. Priyam Garg has now joined hands with Abhishek Goswami at the crease for Uttar Pradesh. 

UP 42/2 (9 overs) vs SAU

Despite losing the wicket of their opener Aryan Juyal for duck, Uttar Pradesh are making a good comeback. Batters Abhishek Goswami and Rituraj Sharma are forming a good partnership. There are slowly getting UP  back on track against Saurashtra. 

UP 41/1 (8 overs) vs SAU

Mumbai are off to a good start against Karnataka in the quarterfinals match against Vijay Hazare Trophy. Openers Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Ishan Mulchandani are forming a good partnership and getting boundaries regularly. Karnataka are desperately eyeing a wicket at this stage. 

MUM 27/0 (7 overs) vs KAR

Saurashtra get an early breakthrough against Saurashtra as Chetan Sakariya removes Aryan Juyal for duck. In the third over of the innings, Sakariya strikes onto the pads of Juyal as the umpire signals LBW out. Juyal departs for duck and Abhishek Goswami has now been joined by Rituraj Sharma.

Saurashtra win toss, opt to bowl against Uttar Pradesh. On the other hand, Karnataka win toss, opt to field against Mumbai in the Quarterfinal match of Vijay Hazare Trophy. 

Sarfaraz Khan too is knocking on the doors by extending his sensational T20 form to one-day cricket. In the unexpected loss against Punjab in the final league fixture, Sarfaraz smashed the fasted fifty by an Indian in men's List A cricket. Though Mumbai lost the inconsequential game, it was yet another reminder from Sarfaraz to the selectors of his special abilities in the shorter formats.

With 640 runs in seven innings, including four hundreds and a half century, Devdutt Padikkal is the tournament's leading run-getter. If he continues to be a run machine, it would be tough for the selectors to ignore him as they look towards the 2027 ODI World Cup after the T20 showpiece is out of the way in a couple of months' time.

Sarfaraz Khan and Devdutt Padikkal would be expected to extend their breathtaking form when domestic heavyweights Mumbai and Karnataka meet in the Vijay Hazare Trophy quarterfinals in Bengaluru on Monday. The second quarterfinal between Uttar Pradesh and Saurashtra will also be held at the Centre of Excellence on Monday.
