Yuvraj's innings is the highest for India against England, bettering Navjot Singh Sidhu's unbeaten 134 at Gwalior on March 4, 1993. The 64-ball hundred by Yuvraj Singh is the fastest by any player against England in ODIs, eclipsing the 72-ball century by Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya at Leeds on July 1, 2006. Yuvraj is the first Indian player to post six sixes in an innings against England in ODIs. Yuvraj's outstanding knock is the highest at Rajkot, bettering Nathan Astle's 120 for New Zealand against India on November 5, 1999. India recorded their biggest win by runs margin (158 runs) against England in ODIs, bettering their 86-run triumph at Sydney on February 26, 1985. India's total of 387 for five is their second best in ODIs -- the highest being 413 for 5 against Bermuda at Port of Spain on March 19, 2007. India's total of 387 for five is now the highest ever total in India, surpassing their 376 for five against New Zealand at Hyderabad on November 8, 1999. India recorded the first ever total of 350-plus at Rajkot, outstripping New Zealand's 349 for 9 against India on November 5, 1999. Gambhir has equalled his highest against England. He had recorded 51 at Headingley on September 2, 2007. His second fifty against England is his 12th in ODIs. Sehwag's 85 off 73 balls is his fourth fifty against England, his 30th in limited-overs internationals. Sehwag's aforesaid knock is his highest against England in India, bettering his 82 off 62 balls at Kanpur on January 28, 2002. Sehwag and Gambhir put on 127 for the first wicket, which is their first century partnership for the first wicket on Indian soil -- their third overall for the first wicket. 616 runs for the loss of 15 wickets were recorded in the Rajkot ODI -- India 387/5 + England 229 -- a record for the highest match aggregate between India and England in India and their fourth best overall.
