Jeffrey Vandersay provides the much-needed breakthrough for Sri Lanka and that is a top catch from Pathum Nissanka as well. This is bowled full and straight, Rohit goes for the big reverse sweep, almost a slog and ends up losing his balance. The ball gets lobbed off the top edge wide of backward point but Nissanka covers great ground and dives to his right to grab it. 97/1

Jeffrey Vandersay tosses the ball up wide of the off stump, a bit full and gets it to turn away, Shubman Gill reaches out for an expansive drive but gets a thick outside edge that flies wide of first slip but Mendis shows great athleticism and leaps across, taking it with one hand and almost behind him as well. Looked like another wrong'un from Vandersay and he bowls this one a bit slower and fuller on the stumps, sliding it back into the right-hander. Virat Kohli gets a big stride in and looks to defend but is beaten and gets hit right in front of middle stump. There is a huge appeal and the finger goes up. Jeffrey Vandersay dishes out the conventional leg spinner on the fuller length. It straightens up instead of turning away.
