Starc stays over the stumps and lands it fuller in length, with an inward shape from middle to leg, KL Rahul gets inside the line of the ball and flicks it across. He goes through the shot but fails to keep it along the ground and it connects it off the inner half of the bat. It goes flat and parallel to the ground, straight towards Sam Konstas stationed at square leg. Konstas doesn't have to move an inch and takes a simple catch to dismiss Rahul. India are 11/1.  11/1

Nathan Lyon strikes at the stroke of the Lunch break! Something seemed to be brewing as the men around the bat exchanged a few words with Gill, who wandered down the track before this ball to ensure it was the last over before the break. This is pushed across the right-hander by Lyon, on a nagging length, around off, Gill premeditates as he charges down the track. He is nowhere near the pitch of the ball and just hangs his bat out there to defend. The outside edge is found and it goes straight to Steven Smith at first slip who takes it near his waist safely. 31.3 OUT! CAUGHT! Sharp catch by the debutant and the outside off-stump woes continue for Kohli! Boland bashes the hard length from over the wicket, angling in, in and around the off-stump line, Kohli falls into playing it and jabs at the delivery with hard hands. He was better off leaving it alone. The ball moves away enough to catch the outside edge and it goes quickly towards third slip where Beau Webster reacts quickly as he dives to his left and the ball sticks in his left palm. Virat Kohli departs on 17 off 69 balls as Boland removes Kohli for the fourth time. India are now reduced to 72/4.  72/4

56.4 OUT! IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! Pant's patience diminishes away after 98 deliveries of resistance as he tries to get out of the shell. Another start for Pant and he couldn't extend it into a substantial score! Coming to the delivery, Boland bangs it into the surface, around off and it climbs on the batter with some extra bit of bounce. Rishabh Pant weighs on the back foot and tries to pull it over mid-wicket but the ball gets a bit heavy on him and he also plays it closer to the body. Hence, gets no timing and it just spoons off the bat and dips towards short mid-wicket where Pat Cummins scoots to his left and takes a sharp catch. 62.4 OUT! LBW! TRAPPED IN FRONT! A huge confident shout for LBW and up goes the finger! Jadeja is trapped in front and goes for a review though. By the looks on his face, he is a bit tentative but challenges the on-field decision. Starc fires it in a fuller-length delivery, lands it on the middle and it angles further in. Ravindra Jadeja gets a bit too across as he tries to flick it away. His head falls over as he plays all over the wrong line. The ball passes close to the inside edge and thuds into the front pad. Nothing on UltraEdge and the Ball Tracking shows the ball to be crashing into the middle stump. It wasn't as tough and close as Jadeja anticipated, rather it was plumb in front. 56.5 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! BOLAND ON A HAT TRICK NOW! This is an immaculate piece of bowling display from him as he gets his fourth wicket now! Boland keeps the line of attack around that corridor of uncertainty, around off on a good length, and gets it to nip away from the batter. Nitish Kumar Reddy is taken aback by the extra bit of bounce. He is caught in two minds whether to play it on the front foot or block off the back foot. A bit of an indecision and he just hangs his bat away from the body. A healthy outside edge is found and it goes straight towards Steven Smith at the second slip who takes a fine sharp catch. 66 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! A polite inquiry for caught behind! Pat Cummins has a word with Carey and takes the review. This is banged into the deck, sliding down leg from around the wicket, Sundar walks inside the line of the ball and hops to pull away but misses. The ball passes close to the glove as it goes through to the keeper. There is a spike on UltraEdge when the ball is close to the glove but the split screen at that very moment shows that the ball has gone past the glove. After a thorough review, the third umpire Joel Wilson deems that he has conclusive evidence to overturn the on-field call. Australia are delighted as there was not much conviction as they went for the review.  148/8

Follows the batter again as he moves towards the leg side, on a nagging length, Krishna has a swipe across the line and gets a top edge that goes only as far as deep backward square leg. Sam Konstas runs a few yards in off the ropes and settles under it to take a safe catch. End of a 20-run stand. India are now 168/9.  168/9

72.2 OUT! IN THE AIR AND GONE! Pat Cummins gets rid of his counterpart and wraps up the Indian innings! Cummins drags his length back but stays with the slower one, on off, and gets a spongy bounce off the wicket. Bumrah tries to fetch the pull but only manages a top edge that gets spooned in the air towards mid-wicket. Mitchell Starc settles under it and takes a simple catch. Pat finishes with two wickets. 11.2 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! The outside edge is found and that will do nicely for Siraj! Siraj continues to pitch it up and gets the ball to move away late in the air, Sam goes for the drive with hard hands without much foot movement. The away movement results in the ball catching the outside edge. It goes low towards gully where Yashasvi Jaiswal stays low and takes a sharp catch to his left. The Indians are all charged up and converge to celebrate in unison as they win a little battle out there by dismissing the youngster. Australia are now 35/3, trailing by 150 runs.  35/3

3 OUT! EDGED AND GONE! Would you believe it? Jasprit Bumrah strikes on the last ball of the day. The Indians are all pumped up as Jasprit Bumrah first gets in the face of Sam Konstas and then the rest follow suit. What a dramatic end to the day. Coming to the delivery, Bumrah steams in from around the wicket and gets the line and the length right. Bowls it fuller in length, on the off stump line, Usman Khawaja is better off playing this one on the front foot but he is tentative in the crease. Opts to play it off the back foot and shows the full face of the bat. There is just enough away movement to catch the outside edge and it goes low towards second slip where KL Rahul stays low to snaffle it. Australia end the day at 9/1, trailing by 176 runs.  9/1

Jasprit Bumrah takes the review. Steams in from over the wicket and angles it in, on a back of a length, around off, a hint of away movement off the deck, Marnus Labuschagne is forced into playing it due to the angle. The ball sneaks past the outside edge on its way to the keeper. The UltraEdge shows a spike, confirming that the ball has grazed the outside edge. India have an early success on Day 2. Siraj stays over the wicket and pushes this across the left-hander, on a nagging length, on middle, Travis Head hops in the crease to keep it out with a straight bat. Gets squared up as the ball moves away off the deck and catches the outside edge. It goes straight into the waiting hands of KL Rahul at second slip who takes it safely near his waist. Australia lose their 4th wicket, trailing by 146 runs.  39/4

Prasidh bends his back and bashes the hard length, around off, Beau Webster hangs on the back foot and presents an angled bat to punch it away on the off side. There is a bit of extra bounce and it results in the ball catching the outside half of the bat. It flies quickly at head height towards gully where Yashasvi Jaiswal leaps to his right and takes the catch with his fingers pointing upwards. Prasidh Krishna gets his third wicket. From 162/6, Australia have slipped to 166/9, losing 3 wickets for 4 runs. The deficit is 19 runs.  166/9

37.5 OUT! THROUGH HIS DEFENCE! BOWLED'EM! Prasidh Krishna strikes for the second time and Australia are 6 down now. This is the third time Carey getting out in somewhat of a similar fashion in this series. Prasidh steams in from around the stumps and gets the ball to angle into the left-hander. It lands on a good length and jags back in a touch. Alex Carey commits on the front foot and tries to drive on the up and straight down the ground but he ends up playing all over it. The ball finds enough gap between the bat and the pad to crash into the top of the off stump. The 41-run stand for the sixth wicket comes to an end as Carey departs on 21 (36). 45 OUT! CAUGHT! Sharp catch by Kohli! Nitish Kumar Reddy is pumped up as he lets out a roar. Reddy pulls the length back and bowls it in that probing channel on off, Pat Cummins hangs on the back foot and was better off leaving it alone. Ends up poking at the delivery away from the body. Gets an outside edge that goes quickly towards first slip where Kohli is standing a bit wide and there is a fair bit of gap between him and Pant. Kohli reacts quickly to his left and gets his hands together to complete the catch. Cummins goes for 10 (20). Australia are now 162/7, trailing by 23 runs.  162/7

46.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Wickets off successive overs for Nitish Kumar Reddy! Dug in short by Reddy from around the wicket and gets it high enough to trouble the batter, around off. Mitchell Starc rises with the bounce and shapes up to fend it down on the off side. Fails to ride the bounce and the ball gets big on him. It comes off the shoulder of the bat and dips as it goes towards second slip. KL Rahul stays low and dives ahead to take a good low catch. The third umpire is called into action to check for a fair catch. The replays show that Rahul had his fingers clearly underneath the ball. Reddy struck with the last ball of his previous over and now with a wicket on the first ball, he is on a hat-trick. Australia are 164/8, trailing by 21 runs.  164/8

51 OUT! CLEANED HIM UP! Siraj completes the clean-up job! Siraj gets the ball to jag back in off the deck, on a good length, on off and middle, Scott Boland presses forward to cover the line of the ball but ends up playing outside the line of the ball due to the movement. The ball lands and nips back in to go past the inside edge and the front pad to crash into the stumps. Siraj ends with 3 wickets. Australia have been bowled out for 181, handing India a lead of 4 runs.  181/10

9.5 OUT! TIMBER! Scott Boland has produced an absolute peach! First Rahul and now Jaiswal, Boland has sent both Indian openers packing. Stays around the wicket and gets the ball to land on the line of the off pole, on a good length, Yashasvi Jaiswal gets half forward to cover the line of the ball with a straight bat. There is just enough away movement off the deck to cause the ball to beat the outside edge. It goes on to hit the top of the off stump. Boland has got the SCG crowd on its feet. India are now effectively 47/2, leading by 51 runs.  47/2

7.3 OUT! CASTLED! Scott Boland with the first breakthrough for Australia! Boland gets the ball up to the batter, around off, Rahul commits himself onto the front foot but the ball is not that full enough. He fails to account for the movement off the deck. The ball nips back in to catch the inside edge before crashing into the stumps. Australia needed this as the opening stand was starting to flourish. Rahul goes for 13 (20). 15.2 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Beau Webster has his maiden Test wicket and his happiness knows no bounds. Fine low catch by Alex Carey. This one is bowled and on the middle stump, jags back in a long way. Gill premeditates stepping out of the crease to go back over the bowler's head. The ball takes the inside edge and goes low to the left of the keeper. Alex Carey smartly moves to his left and dives low to grab a stunning catch.  78/4

13.1 OUT! CAUGHT AT SECOND SLIP! The outside off stump line woes continue for Virat Kohli. Boland bowls it back of a length, just around that probing channel, and nips away slightly off the wicket. Kohli shuffles across and is drawn into playing that shot. Ends up prodding at it and the ball takes the healthy outside edge and goes at a comfortable height towards Steven Smith who does the rest. Kohli is fuming at himself and punches the leg with the bat while marching back to the pavilion. Yet again, it's Boland whose delivery had Kohli's name written on it. And with this, Kohli's stint with the bat in this BGT comes to an end. He would be really disappointed for not having much of an impact since his century in the Perth Test. Is this the final time have we seen Kohli bat on Australian soil? Only time and he will tell. But as of now, his vulnerability outside off just doesn't seem to have an end. 22.2 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! All over for Pant and how often have we seen a break in play bringing a wicket! Pat Cummins spreads his arms and celebrates! Pat Cummins hurls it across off, and it keeps nibbling away from a good length. Rishabh Pant stays rooted in his crease and goes fishing at it as he extends his arms to slash it away to the off side. But the ball catches the outside edge and goes straight and flat into the safe mitts of Alex Carey who does the rest by taking a regulation catch to his left. A huge, huge moment in the game as Pant walks back after a blistering knock. India have now lost half their side with a lead of 128 runs.  124/5

Perfect line and length from the Aussie skipper, as he bowls it from around the wickets, on a fractionally fuller length, right into the vulnerable corridor, just outside off. It lands and kisses the surface, nips away just enough to catch the edge. Jadeja hangs his bat in front with a tentative push and plays inside the line of the ball. A healthy outside edge is found as the ball deviates away. Carey obliges to the catch and takes a safe one into his mitts. India 7 down on 147, leading by 151 runs.  147/7

38.4 OUT! BOWLED'EM! Wicket number 25 for Pat Cummins in this series! Cummins charges in from around the stumps, and lands it on a hard length, and pitching outside off. It nips back in a long way as Sundar stays rooted to the crease with no proper footwork. He tries to defend from the crease and plays over the line of the ball as it angles in. Leaves a decent gap between the bat and pad and gets beaten on the inside edge. The ball sneaks through to the clatter the stumps. India are 156/8, leading by 160 runs.  156/8

39.3 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! A good low catch from Usman Khawaja at the first slip. A 5-fer for Scott Boland and a well-deserved one. Boland hits the deck hard, just around off, and slanting into the batter with the angle and then just straightening up a bit off the deck. Siraj gets on the back foot and pushes hard at it in front but gets an outside edge which goes flat and dips low ahead of Khawaja at the first slip. Khawaja bends low and does well enough to scoop it just above the grass. However, the TV umpire is summoned to check for a fair catch, and he too, deems it as a clean catch and reckons that Khawaja had his fingers underneath the ball.  156/9

Australia have wrapped up India within the first 45 minutes of the play and would be quite delighted with the way they have bowled! Boland keeps attacking the stumps and bowls a length ball which deviates sharply back into the middle and leg stump line from outside off. Bumrah tries to stays leg side of the ball as he clears his front leg and goes for a wild heave across the line. However, the ball jags back in and stays very low on the bounce. Bumrah is through his shot and only connects with thin air as the ball crashes into the furniture beating his inside edge.  157/10

With an upright seam from over the wicket, this is on a length, on off, Sam Konstas backs a long way away while being deep in the crease. Looks to muscle it down the ground but it gets skied only as far as mid off. Washington Sundar settles under it and takes a safe catch near his chest with his fingers pointing downwards. Sam has done his job though to some extent. He goes for 22 (17). Australia are 39/1, needing 123 more runs.  39/1

Siraj steams in from over the stumps and lands it on the off-stump line, on a fractionally fuller length. It is not that short to play a pull shot but Usman Khawaja weighs on the back foot and goes swivelling for a pull shot to the leg side. It stays a tad bit low on the bounce and also nips back in a shade. The under edge is found and it goes low and flat toward Rishabh Pant who takes it safely into his gloves. Virat Kohli is animated and steams towards his men in jubilation. Australia are 104/4, needing 58 with 6 wickets in hand.  104/4

Bowls it on a back of a length, in the channel on off, Marnus Labuschagne hangs on the back foot and opts to play it late. Tries to use the pace by opening the bat face and gliding it behind square on the off side. Fails to keep the shot along the ground and steers it straight to Yashasvi Jaiswal at gully who takes it at waist height to his left. Virat Kohli is all pumped up and signals a 'T' to someone in the crowd. Not sure what that was about. Australia are 52/2, needing 110 more runs.  52/2

He will have to wait for their series in Sri Lanka to achieve that feat. Prasidh Krishna is keeping India in the game here. On the delivery, Prasidh bends his back and digs it in short, over off, Steven Smith hops to deal with this rising delivery but fails to adjust to the steep bounce off the deck. The ball gets big on him as he shuffles to get close to the line of the ball. The ball catches the shoulder of the bat and it dips on its way towards gully.
