Left-arm medium pace bowler Rahat Ali made his first-class debut for Multan in 2007. He has also played for Multan Tigers and Multan Under-19s. But he struck rich form while playing for Khan Research Laboratories and Baluchistan in 2011-12. In 2012, Ali was added to the Pakistan ODI squad for its tour to Sri Lanka. Rahat played only one match in this series where he could not cause much impact. He was then included in the Pakistan Test squad for the South Africa tour in 2013.
