A right-arm medium pace bowler, Parvinder Awana represents the state of Delhi in domestic cricket and made his first-class debut against Himachal Pradesh in 2007.
Awana was the highest wicket-taker for Delhi in the 2011-12 Ranji Trophy with 12 wickets in four games with an average of 8.58. He was then bought by Mohali for the fifth edition of the Indian T20 League in 2012, on the basis of some impressive domestic performances. Awana had a fruitful first season with Mohali and his efforts paid off at the end, when he called up in the India ‘A’ squad for its tour of West Indies. Later that year, he was awarded his first international cap when he played two T20Is against England.
