India vs South Africa: Johannesburg, Durban to host Tests

Team India arrive in South Africa on December 2. The series begins with three one-dayers that will be played at Wanderers (Johannesburg), Kingsmead (Durban) and SuperSport Park (Centurion).

India vs South Africa: Johannesburg, Durban to host Tests

India will play at Wanderers (Johannesburg) and Kingsmead (Durban) the two Tests during their December tour of South Africa. The fixtures were released by Cricket South Africa and Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday.


The Indians arrive in South Africa on December 2. The series starts with a three-match ODI series, the first at Wanderers (Johannesburg) on December 5. Durban and Centurion are the other venues for ODIs. South Africa then host Australia for a three-Test series after the Indians return home.

The itinerary is as follows:

Monday, December 2: Arrive in South Africa

Thursday, December 5: 1st ODI, Wanderers Stadium. Johannesburg (Day/Night)

Sunday, December 8: 2nd ODI, Sahara Stadium Kingsmead, Durban (Day)

Wednesday, December 11: 3rd ODI, SuperSport Park, Centurion (Day/Night)

Saturday, December 14-Sunday, December 15: Two-day tour match vs SA Invitation XI, Sahara Willowmoore Park

Wednesday, December 18-Sunday, December 22: 1st Test match, Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg

Thursday, December 26-Monday, December 30: 2nd Test match, Sahara Stadium Kingsmead, Durban
