---|---|---|---|---|---|
Yashasvi Jaiswal | 88 | 121 | 8 | 1 | 72.72 |
c Tanzid Hasan b Shoriful Islam
39.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Boundary and out! End of a magnificent innings from Jaiswal. Short of a length ball on middle, Jaiswal looks to pull but gets cramped for room and the ball takes the top edge and goes towards short mid-wicket. Tanzid Hasan settles himself and takes a simple catch. Missed a well-deserved century. 156/4

Divyaansh Saxena | 2 | 17 | 0 | 0 | 11.76 |
c Mahmudul Hasan Joy b Avishek Das
6.4 OUT! CAUGHT! It is turning out to be an excellent start for Bangladesh. They were bowling probing lines and lengths since the start and they have been rewarded with a wicket. Full delivery on off, Saxena drives but it is a bit uppish and the ball goes straight to Mahmudul Hasan Joy at point. He makes no mistake and the Bangladesh players are pumped up. 9/1
|
|||||
Tilak Varma | 38 | 65 | 3 | 0 | 58.46 |
c Shoriful Islam b Tanzim Hasan Sakib
29 OUT! CAUGHT! Sakib returns and gets the wicket! This is an excellent catch from Shoriful Islam. Full credit has to be given to him. Back of a length delivery outside off, Varma cuts it and times it well but it doesn't have the distance on it. Shoriful jumps and pouches the catch with both hands at sweeper cover. Bangladesh have been excellent in the field today and this is another example of it. The 94-run stand is broken and at the right time. The partnership was starting to get a move on. Bangladesh players are ecstatic and they have every right to be. 103/2

Priyam Garg C | 7 | 9 | 0 | 0 | 77.77 |
c Tanzid Hasan b Rakibul Hasan
31.3 OUT! CAUGHT! Soft, soft dismissal for the Indian skipper! He is gutted but has to walk back to the pavilion. Hasan bowls a flighted ball on off, Garg looks to push but the ball stops on the surface. It leads to Priyam playing the ball early and the ball goes uppishly towards cover where Tanzid Hasan takes the simplest of catches. Bangladesh look fired up and India lose two quick wickets. 114/3

Dhruv Jurel Wk | 22 | 38 | 1 | 0 | 57.89 |
run out (Shamim Hossain)
42.2 OUT! RUN OUT! Complete confusion out there and Dhruv Jurel has to go after all the drama. There is a big, big mix-up between the two batsmen and the umpire is taking a lot of time to give the decision. Floated ball on off, Jurel defends it to point and takes off for a single. Atharva is not interested and and shouts a loud no to the umpire. Jurel though does not listen and continues on his run. Shamim Hossain throws it to the keeper and whips the bails off. Now, there is a race going on at the non-striker's end. Both Jurel and Ankolekar are trying to make it inside the crease. The on-field umpire takes it upstairs to decide who reached first. From the replays, it looks like Jurel has made it in while Ankolekar's bat was touching the crease. The third umpire thinks otherwise and sends Jurel on his way. Ravi Bishnoi is the new man in. 168/6

Siddhesh Veer | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
lbw b Shoriful Islam
40 OUT! LBW! Another wicket! India crumbling here! This did not look out though! A full toss on the pads, Veer looks to flick but gets hit flush on the pads. The Bangladesh players appeal and the umpire thinks for a while before eventually raising the finger. Islam has been excellent in this game and he deserves this wicket. Honestly, it looked like it was going down the leg side. Islam will be a Hat Trick in his next over. 156/5
|
|||||
Atharva Ankolekar | 3 | 7 | 0 | 0 | 42.85 |
b Avishek Das
44.1 OUT! DRAGGED ON! Avishek Das returns and picks up a wicket. India are on a full collapse mode. Bangladesh are right on top here in the final. Short of a length ball on off, Ankolekar looks to guide it down to third man but it takes the bottom edge and goes onto hit the leg stump. India have lost 5 wickets for 14 runs. 170/8

Ravi Bishnoi | 2 | 6 | 0 | 0 | 33.33 |
run out (Shoriful Islam)
43.5 OUT! RUN OUT and by some distance! There was never a run there and Bangladesh right on top now. This is a yorker on middle. Atharva looks to jam it out but gets an inside edge onto the pads. It rolls beside the pitch. Bisnoi wants a run and charges towards the other end. It was his call and it was him who was running towards the danger end. He though had no chance of making it as. Islam gets to the ball, picks it up and then hits the stumps from close range. Can Bangladesh now keep India under 200? 170/7

|||||
Sushant Mishra | 3 | 8 | 0 | 0 | 37.50 |
c Shoriful Islam b Tanzim Hasan Sakib
47.2 OUT! CAUGHT! What a brilliant catch! Bangladesh have done extremely well to bowl INDIA OUT FOR 177. Length delivery on off, Mishra looks to heave it away but it takes the top edge and goes towards third man. Shoriful Islam runs ahead and dives forward to take the catch. Brilliant stuff from Bangladesh. They have given themselves a very good chance to win the final. 177/10
|
|||||
Kartik Tyagi | 5 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c Akbar Ali b Avishek Das
45 OUT! CAUGHT! Excellent keeping from Akbar Ali! It is not the best of deliveries but it still has fetched Das a wicket. Short of a length ball down the leg side, Tyagi could have left the ball alone but gets a faint edge towards the left of the keeper. Ali dives to that side and takes the catch. They appeal and the umpire raises his finger. India have lost their nine wickets and they are not even close to reaching 200. Can the last pair get them to that score? 172/9

c Akash Singh b Yashasvi Jaiswal
32 OUT! CAUGHT! Too loose from Parvez Hossain Emon and that perhaps is the final blow in this self-stitched coffin by Bangladesh. A part-timer comes on and just like against Pakistan, picks up a wicket. Full and outside off, Parvez cannot resist the temptation. Goes after it, playing a lofted cover drive but cannot clear the fielder. Akash Singh leaps to his left and takes a straight forward catch. Emon stands there, questioning himself as to what has he done. Trudges back and his team comes out near the ropes to pat his back. So near, yet so far. 35 runs needed, just 3 wickets in hand. 143/7

Tanzid Hasan | 17 | 25 | 2 | 1 | 68 |
c Kartik Tyagi b Ravi Bishnoi
8.5 OUT! CAUGHT! Ravi Bishnoi has the last laugh! After a good opening stand, Tanzid Hasan has to go. A wrong'un around off, Hasan looks to slog sweep. The ball takes the top edge and goes towards long on. Kartik Tyagi settles himself under it and takes the catch. India needed that wicket to make a comeback in this game. 50/1
|
|||||
Mahmudul Hasan Joy | 8 | 12 | 2 | 0 | 66.66 |
b Ravi Bishnoi
12.5 OUT! KABOOM! Timber! Drags his length back and gets the reward. The googly does the trick again. Mahmudul does not pick it at all. It is slightly short and outside off. Turns back in. Mahmudul looks to cut but that shot is not on, it is too close to execute it. He misses and the middle stump is uprooted. The Indians are pumped and Ravi Bishnoi is getting India back into the game. 116 more needed. 62/2
|
|||||
Towhid Hridoy | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
lbw b Ravi Bishnoi
14.1 OUT! LBW! Ravi Bishnoi, take a bow! He has probably got Bangladesh's best batter. Bangladesh's dressing room is stunned at the moment. The leggie has single-handedly got his team right back into the contest. It is once again the googly, the length does Hridoy in though. It is fuller. Hridoy goes back to play at it. The ball skids through, beats the bat and hits the pad. An appeal and up goes the finger. 116 needed with 7 wickets in hand. 62/3

Shahadat Hossain | 1 | 10 | 0 | 0 | 10 |
st Dhruv Jurel b Ravi Bishnoi
16.1 OUT! Brilliant from Jurel. That is why he had his finger up. Hossain's foot was on the line. India are right on top at the moment as Bishnoi gets his 4th. They are into the lower middle order of the Bangladesh side which has hardly been tested. It is a googly, it lands outside off and then turns back in. SH looks to defend with a long stride. It hits the inside edge, then the pads and rolls towards the keeper who takes it with one hand and whips the bails off in a flash. He is appealing and celebrating at the same time. The umpire takes it upstairs and replays show that the batter has not got his foot back in time. 65/4

c Yashasvi Jaiswal b Sushant Mishra
20.1 OUT! Caught! India are bowling themselves back into the game while Bangladesh are pushing themselves out of it. Short and wide outside off, Shamim leaps and plays the upper cut. But it is towards sweeper cover where Yashasvi Jaiswal comes charging in and takes a decent catch! The Indians are pumped up. Memories of the 2019 Asia Cup final flooding in... 85/5

Avishek Das | 5 | 7 | 1 | 0 | 71.42 |
c Kartik Tyagi b Sushant Mishra
23 OUT! CAUGHT! We will not learn from our mistakes. After being dropped twice in 3 balls, Avishek again goes for an attacking stroke. It is a short ball and looks to pull but gets a top edge. Kartik Tyagi gets across from square leg to his right and pouches it safely. India firm favourites to defend their title now. 102/6
