Mohammad Parvez Hossain Emon Profile

Mohammad Parvez Hossain Emon, born on June 12, 2002, is a Bangladeshi cricketer known for his aggressive batting style. He has showcased his talent in domestic cricket, earning a spot in the national team.

His journey in competitive cricket began in February 2019 when he made his T20 debut for Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan in the Dhaka Premier Division T20 Cricket League. Shortly after, in March 2019, he played his first List A match in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. His promising performances led to his selection in Bangladesh’s squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

One of the defining moments of his career came on December 8, 2020, during the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. Playing for Fortune Barishal, he smashed a century off just 42 balls against Minister Group Rajshahi, setting a record for the fastest T20 hundred by a Bangladeshi player. This remarkable feat brought him into the spotlight.

His consistent performances earned him a place in Bangladesh’s preliminary squad for the ODI series against the West Indies in January 2021. Soon after, he was selected for the Bangladesh Emerging squad for a series against the Ireland Wolves. Emon also made his first-class debut in March 2021, representing Chittagong Division in the National Cricket League.

By the end of 2021, he received his maiden call-up to Bangladesh’s T20I squad for a series against Pakistan. In mid-2022, he was again included in the squad for the Zimbabwe tour, where he earned his first T20I cap on August 2.

In January 2025, Emon was named in Bangladesh’s squad for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. His fearless approach to batting and ability to score quickly make him an exciting prospect for Bangladesh’s white-ball future.
