The Super Seven stage of the 2027 World Cup will begin from October 25 and go on till November 14. The top three teams each from Group A and Group B, along with the best fourth-placed team from among the two groups will qualify for the Super Seven.

Remember, no points are carried over to the Super Seven. All teams face off in a single round-robin, and it's a fresh start.

Here are India's Group A fixtures at the 2027 World Cup:

India vs Australia - October 7 - Cape Town
India vs Pakistan - October 10 - Johannesburg
India vs Afghanistan - October 14 - Tshwane
India vs Qualifier A - October 17 - Bloemfontein
India vs Zimbabwe  - October 24 - Victoria Falls

India will take on Pakistan in Group A of the 2027 World Cup on October 10 in Johannesburg. It's a Super Sunday, and it marks a blockbuster beginning to India's World Cup campaign. Australia to start off, and then Pakistan just three days later.

Here's the full schedule of the 2027 World Cup! The main tournament will start with a rematch of the 2023 final, with India taking on Australia in Cape Town on October 7.

South Africa. England. New Zealand. Sri Lanka. Bangladesh. And a qualifier team. Group B seems to be the harder of the two to predict!

India and Pakistan have been placed in the same group in the 2027 World Cup, which means the arch-rivals can clash as many as three times in the big event next year. Once in the initial group stage, once more in the Super Seven, and then in either the semi-final or the final!

India will face off against Australia, the team which beat them in the 2023 World Cup final, in the group stage of the 2027 World Cup. Interestingly, India and Australia also played the final when the World Cup was last held in South Africa, in 2003!

The initial groups for the Cricket World Cup 2027 has been announced by the ICC! Here they are:

Group A: Afghanistan, Australia, India, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Qualifier A
Group B: Bangladesh, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Qualifier B

For Indian cricket and Indian fans, the 2027 World Cup holds enormous weightage. One, there is a feeling of unfinished business after losing the 2023 final. Two, it is almost certainly going to be the last time that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will play on the biggest stage of world cricket.

Nations in the main 12-team group stage will have to play 13 games to win the tournament. Five in the initial group stage, then six in the Super Seven, and then the semi-final and final. It will be a long journey to the cup, and almost certainly ensures that the cream of the crop will come out on top.

The Cricket World Cup qualifiers will be held in February and March 2027 to decide the remaining four spots in the 2027 World Cup. Two-time champions West Indies, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland and USA are already guaranteed to play the qualifiers. Four other teams will also be added to the mix, based on results of already ongoing qualifiers.

The schedule announcement of the Cricket World Cup 2027 is set to begin in less than 10 minutes. Stay tuned to NDTV Sports, all the live updates coming your way!

The clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan has been a fixture in recent major tournaments, and once again there is high anticipation over whether it will happen, and if it does, when and where it will be held.

10 out of the 14 spots in the 2027 World Cup have already been finalised. This includes hosts South Africa and Zimbabwe, and then the top eight in the ICC ODI rankings as of September 30, 2026. This includes India, New Zealand, Australia, Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

South Africa and Zimbabwe will host the Cricket World Cup in 2027 for the first time in 24 years. They last hosted in 2003, which was won by Australia, with India reaching the final. Namibia will also act as Cricket World Cup hosts in 2027, for the first time ever.

14 teams will take part in the 2027 World Cup. Three teams will first take part in the Super Series, from which one will gain entry to the final group stage comprising 12 teams. Then, two groups will have six teams each, from which the best seven will progress to the Super Seven.

There onwards, the top four from the Super Seven will qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of the two semis will face off in the final.

A very warm welcome to the live coverage of the schedule launch of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027. Today, we will get a clear picture of the groups for the big global event next year.
