The Lankan freak spinner bagged the Emerging Player of The Year Award.

Yuvraj Singh won the Twenty20 Performance of the Year award at the ICC Awards for Cricketing Excellence.

Sri Lanka's sensational find Ajantha Mendis bagged the ICC Emerging Player of the Year award on Wednesday night.

His team won the ICC award for the Spirit of Cricket. Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene said it is important to play aggressive cricket but there's no need to cross the line.

Simon Taufel bagged the Umpire of the Year award for the fifth straight time.
