Indian Government Yet to Give Clearance For Cricket Series Against Pakistan
The India-Pakistan cricket series continues to be in limbo after an Indian official confirmed that the government had still not taken any decision on the proposed series slated to be held in December in Sri Lanka.

The Indian government on Friday said no decision has been taken on the proposed cricket series between India and Pakistan set to be held in December in Sri Lanka. (Not Hosting India-Pakistan Series for Monetary Benefits: Sri Lanka Cricket Board Official)
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary, Anurag Thakur on Wednesday said the Indian cricket board had approached the central government for clearance to play Pakistan. (Let's Keep Cricket Separate From Politics: Rajeev Shukla)
"No decision has been taken on the India-Pakistan cricket series," said Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Vikas Swarup. (Shoaib Akhtar Hopeful of India-Pakistan Series in December)
Swarup is in Malta accompanying External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, who is attending the 24th Commonwealth heads of government meeting.
With only a month's window available after India finish their Test Series against South Africa on December 7, the much-awaited series against Pakistan is likely to be confined to three ODIs and two T20 Internationals instead of the original five ODIs, two Tests and as many T20 Internationals.
Sri Lanka had emerged as the host for the series between the arch-rivals after India refused to play in the UAE.
