New Delhi:

Indian cricket captain Rahul Dravid has joined the illustrious list of sportspersons as the new brand ambassador for Gillette.

The other three in the list are Roger Federer, Tiger Woods and Thierry Henry.

"For Gillete to have got these sporting icons together on a common platform that celebrates being the best today and to be choosen is indeed a great honour and a privliage," said Dravid.

It's the best a man can get or so says the Gillette tagline. And the best man for Procter and Gamble company was Rahul Dravid and it certainly helps that he's got an image that's as clean as his shave.

Dravid said that even his wife Vijeta liked his clean shaven look.

So listening to wife Vijeta and his fabulous cricket achievements contributed towards Dravid being in this elite group of global sports icons.

The terms of the contract are not known but it's beleived that it could be worth as much as $1.5 million for 2 years.

David beckham, a Gillette amabssador till earlier this year, certainly charged more than that, but for Dravid fans this is certainly a Mach 3 Turbo moment.
