Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association on Saturday said it was ready to host the IPL matches in the state.

Raipur:

When states across the country have advised IPL organisers to reschedule the event in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections, Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association on Saturday said it was ready to host the league matches in the state.

A cloud of uncertainty is hanging over the high-profile event, scheduled to start from April 10, as the Union Home ministry has said it was not feasible to organise the event due to lack of security forces.

Baldev Singh Bhatia, CSCA President said they have spoken to IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi and had made the offer.

Bhatia claimed that construction work of the international stadium in the state was almost complete and Modi has assured them to send an inspection team.

He also said that chief minister Raman Singh has promised security to hold the matches.
