Sarita Devi Suspension: Boxing India to Appeal to International Federation
Sarita Devi, who got support from the Indian authorities, has hoped that the ban on her and her coaches by AIBA will soon be revoked.

Boxer L Sarita Devi, who was suspended by the International Boxing Association on Wednesday for refusing to accept Asian Games medal has received support Indian authorities.
The Indian authorities have decided to write to AIBA on suspension of boxer Sarita, coaches.
"All officials are being supportive now. Sports Ministry, IOA and Boxing India to prepare my reply to AIBA. We hope the ban on me and my coaches get revoked," Sarita said.
Earlier, Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, "We have already instructed the Indian Olympic Association to take up the matter with the international forum for withdrawal of suspension on Sarita Devi."
"We are asking the IOA to take up the matter for a genuine cause of a player. So, it is very important for the country and we will have to stand by our decision," he added.
On Wednesday, Sarita was provisionally suspended by boxing's international governing body for rejecting her Asian Games bronze medal at the podium following her controversial semifinal loss at Incheon.
