California:
In just over a week's time Floyd 'pretty boy' Mayweather will step into the ring to face Carlos Baldomir, the WBC Welterweight champion.
On Friday both fighters continued their preparations in front of the media.
Mayweather is often referred to as the world's best fighter pound for pound, having won four different titles in four different weight classes.
But Baldomir will provide a stern test, as he has not lost a fight in more than nine years.
Mayweather has won four different championship belts in four different weight categories.
At one point during his training, he joked that unlike Oscar's (de la Hoya) camp, he lets fans get close to him. Baldomir has been quoted as saying that he will knock out the outgoing Mayweather.
But 'pretty boy' responded confidently, with statistics to back up his claim that he is more likely to record a knockout in this fight.
"He said he's going to knock me out, but of course, if you look at both our records, my knockout ratio is a lot better. Out of 60 plus fights, or 60, I don't know exactly what's his number he got like 13 knockouts. Me, out of 36 fights I got 24 knockouts, I've been in there with some of the best," said Mayweather.
Rock solid
Meanwhile, Baldomir went about his business. The Argentine has been rock solid in the ring, he can't be faulted if he doesn't remember what it is like to lose.
Baldomir hasn't been beaten in more than nine years - 19 consecutive bouts. He has some words of caution for Mayweather.
"Mayweather knows that this is a dangerous fight for him. He knows I'm dangerous. And I'm not going to miss this opportunity to show that I am still a true champion. So Mayweather, you only have a few days to surrender, before a big surprise hits you," Baldomir said.
"And to all the boxing fans out there, do not miss this fight. You're going to see a new champion, a champion for the people, as I have been for the past 10 months, I'm going to reaffirm it. I'll reaffirm it on November 4th, with the great victory," he added.
