Known for her suave looks and talented acting abilities, Bollywood celebrity Deepika Padukone can be quite lethal every time she has a badminton racquet in her hand.
Deepika tweeted a picture of herself playing badminton on the sets of a film called 'Piku,' on Wednesday. While acting in films may be her true love, the sport is truly her first passion. "Can't resist that badminton racquet #FunOnTheSetsOf Piku" she wrote. The images were also posted on her official Instagram account.
Daughter of legendary badminton player Prakash Padukone, who was the first Indian to win All England Badminton Championship, Deepika looked at her athletic best while playing. And this was hardly the first time she was seen holding the racquet.
A teenaged Deepika had played in national level championships before opting for a career in front of cameras. While badminton ran through her veins - her paternal grandfather was secretary of Mysore Badminton Association, she became a fashion model and made her acting debut in a 2006 Kannada film.
Sports though has hardly stopped exciting her and she is seen at various sporting events including Royal Challengers Bangalore matches in Indian Premier League.
