Andy Murray may be Britain's hero in the run-up to his historic clash against Roger Federer for the Wimbledon title. For the 25-year-old however, Barcelona's Lionel Messi is the epitome of sporting excellence and a 'real hero.'
Murray beat Jo-Wilfred Tsonga to become the first Briton in 74 years to earn a title shot in Wimbledon earlier this week. His celebration after the match, reveals UK's Sunday Mirror, was a homage to the soccer player who has now won the FIFA Ballon d'Or award twice.
The Scotsman had earlier told a Tennis website that if he could be any other sportsperson for a day, his choice would surely be the Argentine.
An avid football fan, Murray has immense hopes pinned on him but has said that he is not under any pressure ahead of his match against Federer.
