Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has not backed away from Jacobs despite the latest legal development.
Asked Friday whether the ruling had changed his feelings about the running back, LaFleur answered, “No.” He then explained why, saying, “Well, because I know the guy, and I know the character of the guy. I've said many times. And, unfortunately, situations occur in life. It's just an unfortunate situation.”

LaFleur's comments show that his view of Jacobs has not changed following the court proceeding. However, he also stopped short of saying what the Packers would do if the NFL eventually determines that discipline is necessary.
That distinction matters. Jacobs is not currently available to practice or play, and Green Bay cannot control when the league finishes its review.
