Former world number one Victoria Azarenka reached the US Open quarter-finals on Monday with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Serb qualifier, Aleksandra Krunic. (Bouchard Knocked Out | Serena Advances to Quarters)
The 16th seed, the runner-up to Serena Williams in the last two years, will play Russia's Ekaterina Makarova for a place in the semi-finals. (Read: Djokovic, Murray Book Quarter-Final Showdown)
Krunic, the world ranked 145, had knocked out Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in the third round and was bidding to become th first qualifier in 33 years to reach the quarter-finals.
