01:00 hrs IST: Hello and welcome! The final match of the 2016 US Open will see World No.1 Novak Djokovic take on third seed Stan Wawrinka. The Serb has earlier faced Swiss roadblock in the form of Roger Federer but this time Wawrinka will be looking to crash the top seed's party.

Defending champion Djokovic prevailed 6-3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 in a bizarre semi-final that saw 10th-seeded Monfils roundly booed and accused of not trying.
Third-seeded Wawrinka withstood an early onslaught from sixth-seeded Kei Nishikori, asserting himself in the later stages to claim a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-2 victory.
Although Wawrinka trails 19-4 in his career meetings with Djokovic, the 31-year-old Swiss has derailed the Serb before on the biggest stage.
In 2014, Wawrinka won a five-set quarterfinal against Djokovic in the Australian Open and later went on to win the title.
Last year as well, Djokovic saw his hopes of completing a career Slam crushed in four sets by the Swiss in the French Open final.
With the US Open final being their seventh meeting in a Grand Slam, Djokovic will be totally aware of the dangers posed by Wawrinka to his bid to win his 13th Grand Slam title.
