She may have crashed out of Rome Masters recently but Maria Sharapova is still the undisputed queen of style and suave. And it seems if there's one thing that disturbs her more than an on-court defeat, it's an on-court fashion faux pas- like Andy Murrays.
Murray is believed to have asked Sharapova for some fashion advice in jest recently. The Wimbledon champion perhaps would not have expected a complete overhaul of his wardrobe as the solution! Sharapova, it is reported, asked the Scott to opt for clothes that fit him better. "Well from what I've seen and noticed you like to wear things a little bit baggier than maybe they should be," she was quoted as saying by express.co.uk. "So I would probably advise you to maybe hire a tailor. It's not very expensive, I'm sure you can afford it."
While Murray has devastated opponents on the tennis court, he has also modeled for several magazines including GQ and therefore, is not a fashion eye-sore for sure. Sharapova however thinks he could do wonders if he opted for a different style in clothing. "You know it just has to be a little smaller, a little tighter, European style. I think you would look good with that," she advised.
It is an advice that Murray ought to pay heed to, especially as Sharapova has the experience of having her own line of clothing, designer shoes and bags. And while her on-court performances recently may not have been much to write about, her eloquent style never fails to grab headlines around the world.
