French Open: Sharapova, Federer Enter Last 16

Roger Federer, whose only title win at Roland Garros came in 2009, held his serve throughout against Damir Dzumhur as he made it to the fourth round without dropping a set.

Maria Sharapova was too hot to handle for Samantha Stosur as she won in straight sets to enter the round of 16.

Alize Cornet needed two and a half hours to defeat 33-year-old Croatian Mirjana Lucic-Baroni 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 in a match scarred by 85 unforced errors.

Stanislas Wawrinka overcame Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-3, 6-2.

Serbian seventh seed Ivanovic, the 2008 champion at Roland Garros, triumphed over 18-year-old Croatian opponent Donna Vekic 6-0, 6-3.

Richard Gasquet became the seventh French player to advance to the third round with a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 win over Argentine Carlos Berlocq.
