Leander Paes and his partner Lukas Dlouhy rounded off their disappointing campaign at the season ending World Tour Finals with their third successive defeat on Friday.
The fourth seeded Indo-Czech pair lost their last Group B match 6-7(1) 4-6 to seventh seed Max Mirnyi and Andy Ram in one hour and 15 minutes.
Paes and Dlouy had reached three ATP World Tour Masters 1000 finals to qualify for year-end championship.
India's challenge though is still alive as Mahesh Bhupathi and his partner Mark Knowles have qualified for the semifinals.
