Paes-Dlouhy, Bhupathi-Knowles in pre-quarters of Madrid Open

Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the Madrid Open along with their respective partners.

Madrid:

Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi advanced to the pre-quarterfinals of the euro 3,700,000 Madrid Open along with their respective partners after getting a bye in the first round.

Paes and Czech Lukas Dlouhy, seeded third, will take on the winners of the Frantisek Cermak/Michal Mertinak v Julian Knowle/Jurgen Melzer match in the next round.

The fourth seeded pair of Bhupathi and Bahamian Mark Knowles will begin their campaign against the winners of the match between Pablo Andujar/Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Stephen Huss/Ross Hutchins.
