Paes-Black win mixed-doubles crown at Wimbledon

Leander Paes of India and Zimbabwe's Cara Black have won the Wimbledon mixed doubles title for their third Grand Slam championship together.

Leander Paes of India and Zimbabwe's Cara Black have won the Wimbledon mixed doubles title for their third Grand Slam championship together.

They defeated South Africa's Wesley Moodie and American Lisa Raymond 6-4, 7-6 (5) on Sunday.

Paes and Black trailed 4-2 in the second-set tiebreaker but won five of the next six points to close out the match.

Paes and Black also won the Australian Open title in January, as well as the U.S. Open in 2008. They were runners-up at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open last year.

This is Leander's third mixed-doubles title at the Wimbledon. He now has a career grand slam tally of 12 which makes him the most successful amongst Indian tennis players.

Leander has now won 6 men's doubles and 6 mixed-doubles grand slam titles each.
