Paes and Dlouhy beaten in Halle doubles final

India's Leander Paes lost out on winning the season's first doubles title when he and his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy were defeated in the euro 713,000 Gerry Weber Open tennis final here Sunday.
The India-Czech pair were beaten 3-6, 6-4, 3-6 by the unseeded pair Russian Mikhail Youzhny and German Mischa Zverev.
Paes and Dlouhy took the first set comfortably, breaking their opponents' service twice, but the Russian-German duo came back strongly to restore parity by winning the second set.
In the super tie-break, Youzhny and Zverev easily settled the matter.
