Monte Carlo Masters: Paes-Melzer advance to play Bhupathi-Bopanna in Round 2

Bhupathi and Bopanna, who announced earlier this month that they would team up yet again, were given a bye in the opening round at the 2,646,495 Euro clay court event.

Leander Paes and Jurgen Melzer have advanced to second round of the Monte Carlo Masters, where they will meet Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna.

The unseeded Indo-Austrian pair beat wildcards Benjamin Balleret and Guillaume Couillard 6-3 7-5 in a match that took and hour and 8 minutes to get over.
