Madrid Masters: Paes-Stepanek, Bhupathi-Bopanna in pre-quaters

Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek and the Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna progressed to the pre-quarterfinals of the ATP Madrid Masters after getting byes in their respective first-round matches in Madrid.

Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek and the Indian pair of Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna progressed to the pre-quarterfinals of the ATP Madrid Masters after getting byes in their respective first-round matches in Madrid.

The Indo-Czech pair of Paes and Stepanek is seeded fifth while the Indian team of Bhupathi and Bopanna is seventh seed.

Paes and Stepanek will take on the winner of the first round match between Gael Monfils/Richard Gasquet and Sergei Bubka/Javier Marti.

Bhupathi and Bopanna await the winner of the clash between the teams of Christopher Kas/ Santiago Gonzalez and Oliver Marach/Alexander Peya.
