Lisicki tops Texas Open semis

Fifth-seeded Sabine Lisicki of Germany continued her roll through the Texas Open, going into the semifinals as the highest seed remaining and having yet to lose a set.
Lisicki, ranked 23rd in the world and coming off a semifinal at Wimbledon, defeated Kateryna Bondarenko of Ukraine 6-1, 6-2 in Thursday's quarterfinals. She will next face eighth-seeded Irina-Camelia Begu, a Romanian ranked No. 48.
Begu advanced with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia.
The other semifinal will feature Aravane Rezai of France against Angelique Kerber of Germany.
Rezai beat Britain's Elena Baltacha 6-2, 6-2, and Kerber Sweden's beat Johanna Larsson 6-0, 6-1.
