China Open: Sania Mirza-Nuria into final; Bhupathi-Bopanna crash out

It was a mixed day for Indian tennis as Sania Mirza of India and Nuria Llagostera of Spain moved into the women's doubles final of $4.8 million China Open tennis championship while Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna were knocked out in the quarter-final.

Sania-Nuria beat Srebotnik and Zheng Jie 7-5, 6-1 in Beijing on Friday.

On the other hand, Bhupathi-Bopanna lost out to Argentine Carlos Berlocq and Russian Denis Istomin 2-6, 6-7.

With this win, Sania is expected to improve her doubles ranking to World No. 13.
