Sushil Kumar appointed Railways administrative officer

Double Olympic medallist wrestler, Sushil Kumar was on Friday appointed as the Administrative Officer of the Northern Railway Sports Association.

V K Gupta, General Manager, Northern Railway and Patron of the NRAS made the announcement here in the presence of the wrestler.

"I am honoured that my country has conferred this title upon me and I will do all I can to promote sports in India. While wrestling is my forte, I will also be mentoring and encouraging sportsmen across all sports at the academy. I think India as a country has great potential and I sincerely hope I can do my bit to encourage budding sportsmen," said Sushil on the occassion.

In November last year, Sushil was made the OSD (Officer on Special Duty) of the Wrestling Academy.
