Mumbai Indians (MI) bounced back to winning ways to defeat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets in Match 24 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season, at the Feroz Shah Kotla on Thursday. Chasing a target of 172 runs, MI reached 172 for three in 18.3 overs, courtesy of an unbeaten knock by Quinton de Kock. The MI opener smashed 70 runs off 50 deliveries, packed with six fours and two sixes, to help MI seal the win. Krunal Pandya also made a noteworthy contribution, scoring 39 runs off 26 balls. Meanwhile, Kieron Pollard helped De Kock finish off the game, with a short unbeaten cameo, scoring 16 in eight balls. Chris Morris took two wickets for RR, but conceded 33 runs in four overs, and Mustafizur Rahman also registered a dismissal. Meanwhile, earlier Rajasthan wrapped up their innings at 171 for four in 20 overs. RR's batting order put in a decent display, with Sanju Samson smashing 42 off 27 balls. Jos Buttler (41) and Shivam Dube (35) were also in good form with the bat. Rahul Chahar was once again hot form for MI, taking two wickets in four overs. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult registered a dismissal each.
