But the Sunrisers' innings was totally anchored by a brilliant knock from Dhawan who powered them to 177/3.
In reply, Mumbai Indians had a disastrous start, losing both openers Rohit Sharma and Parthiv Patel quite early.
Ritika Sajdeh, wife of Rohit Sharma, was certainly not happy with her husband getting bowled by Ashish Nehra.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar got things moving for the Sunrisers, taking the first wicket when he found Parthiv Patel leg before wicket.
Nehra then went on to clinch three wickets for which he was named the Man of the Match.
Mustafizur Rahman struck thrice after being introduced late into the Mumbai Indians innings.
Harbhajan not just took two wickets but also scored the highest number of runs for Mumbai Indians with 21 not out.
But that wasn't enough as a brilliant bowling performance helped Sunrisers thrash Mumbai Indians by 85 runs.
