Chasing 236, Mumbai's chase never gathered any steam. Lendl Simmons was the only to present any challenge to RCB's bowlers, remaining unbeaten on 68.
Pollard was the only other Mumbai batsman, who looked like taking the attack to the opposition. He smashed 49 off 24 balls.
RCB won by 39 runs and moved close to a spot in the playoffs.
