Kolkata Knight Riders thrash Mumbai Indians in IPL opener
The seventh Indian Premier League started with an emphatic 41-run win for Kolkata Knight Riders over Mumbai Indians, as the evergreen Jacques Kallis set the tone with a 46-ball 72 before Sunil Narine completed the task with four wickets.

Kolkata Knight Riders opener Jacques Kallis hit 72 off 46 balls that helped the 2012 champions post a competitive total. He was dropped on 34 by Lasith Malinga.
Manish Pandey scored 64 and was involved in a 131-run stand with Jacques Kallis for the second wicket.
Pace spearhead Lasith Malinga was the pick of Mumbai Indians bowlers, finishing with figures of 4/23.
Chasing 164 for a win, Mumbai Indians were restricted to 122 for seven. Ambati Rayudu top scored with 48 off 40 balls.
Spinner Sunil Narine picked up four for 20 to help Kolkata Knight Riders beat Mumbai Indians by 41 runs. Piyush Chawla, Morne Morkel and Shakib Al Hasan bagged a wicket each.
"We've got a very good bowling attack and if we put runs on the board most of the times we'll end up winning: Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir said.
