India's drag-flicker Sandeep Singh and midfielder Sardara Singh Thursday appealed against the two-year ban slapped on them by Hockey India (HI) for indiscipline.
HI secretary general Narinder Batra said the duo, in an e-mail, have appealed against the ban.
"The two players were given 30 days to appeal against the ban. Both the players have appealed today. They have requested to meet me next week," Batra said.
Batra said a five-member committee will be formed to hear their appeal.
Both the players were banned for two years by HI disciplinary committee after they cited personal reasons and left last month's camp in Bangalore, ahead of the Asian Champions Trophy.
The duo can be let-off with a warning by the five-member committee as well if they admit their fault.
