Kochi, Japan:
Michelle Wie was 17-over par after two rounds and missed the cut at the Casio World Open.
Wie, who was 9 over after the opening round, had six bogeys and a double bogey in a second-round 80 Friday at the par-72 Kuroshio Country Club.
She finished second last after two rounds after failing to make a single birdie in 36 holes. Japan's Tomomichi Oto was 101st.
Wie's troubles started on the par-3 second hole when her par putt lipped out to send her to 10-under.
On the par-3 11th, Wie's tee shot landed in the rough on the right side of the fairway. Her second shot found a greenside bunker and she one-putted after blasting out to the edge of the green.
Japan's Tetsuya Haraguchi shot a 68 and was the halfway leader at 10-under.
The 17-year-old Wie has made the cut in one of her 12 starts on men's tours, in May in the Asian Tour's SK Telecom Open in South Korea. (AP)
