Zandvoort (The Netherlands):
A modest one-over 71 had Shiv Kapur at tied 76th and the Delhi pro would require an improved show in the second round to make the cut in the KLM Open golf tournament here.
Shiv began with a birdie but bogeys on the third and seventh had him one-over at the turn.
On his way back, Shiv birdied the 10th to go level-par again but the 12th hole bogey undid the good work and the youngster parred his last six holes to finish at one-over. Paul McGinley and Gary Orr turned in matching 64s to share the lead.
