Sharmila Nicollet Tied 29th After Second Round in Hong Kong Golf
The 23-year-old Bengaluru golfer, who has made a comeback from injuries, shot 75 despite three late bogeys in the second round. She had a 77 in the first round as she tried to shake off the rust.

Sharmila Nicollet moved up the leaderboard to tied 29th and made the cut comfortably at the Hong Kong Ladies Open here on Saturday.
The 23-year-old Bengaluru golfer, who has made a comeback from injuries, shot 75 despite three late bogeys in the second round. She had a 77 in the first round as she tried to shake off the rust.
At eight-over 152, Sharmila is placed tied 29th at the challenging Hong Kong Golf Club.
After 11 holes, Sharmila was even for the day and moved up the leaderboard. She had three birdies and three bogeys at that stage. Then she dropped shots on 14th, 15th and 18th for a round of 75.
Speaking of the course, Sharmila said, "The course management is the key here. It has tricky greens and tough par threes. I have been chipping and putting well and I made almost every up and down and I am going to go aggressive tomorrow."
It was a mixed performance by the other Indians, too.
Neha Tripathi (78-75) in tied 33rd place, up from overnight 47th place, while Gauri Monga (75-83), who was the best Indian in the first round, fell from overnight tied 20th to tied 56th. Vani Kapoor (80-79) and Amandeep Drall (80-79) were tied 61st and just made the cut.
The 36-hole lead was shared by South Korea's Lee Jeong-hwa and Chinese Taipei's Chen Yu-Yu. Both have a two-round total of two-under 142. Lee ensured a share of the lead firing an eagle on par-5, 17th to cut back her deficit to sign out with an even par while Chen carded out with a one-under 71.
Two Chinese Taipei players -- Yeh Hsin-Ning and amateur Chen Chih-Min -- shared the third spot on 143 as another Chinese Taipei player Lin Tzu-Chi and Thailand's Pangjan Rungthiwa shared the fifth spot on 144 total.
