Evian-les-Bains:
Paula Creamer wrapped up the Evian Masters title with ease on Saturday, beating amateur Michelle Wie and Lorena Ochoa of Mexico by eight shots at Evian-les-Bains.
Britain's Laura Davies and France's Karine Icher were tied for second place overnight, but both finished well down the field.
World number one Annika Sorenstam, who was fourth at the start of the day, had a poor round of three-over 75 and had to settle for 12th place on three-under.
Round of the day
Helen Alfredsson shot the round of the day. The Swede carded a seven-under 65 to shoot up the leaderboard and tie for fifth place at five-under 283.
Fifteen-year-old amateur Michelle Wie had five birdies and one bogey in her final round four-under 68 which left her in a share of second place on 281.
Also at seven-under alongside Wie was Lorena Ochoa. The Mexican returned a closing three-under 69.
Winning putt
Creamer, who won her first title at the Sybase Classic in New Rochelle two months ago, holed the winning putt to close with a one-under 71 and an eight shot triumph.
She finished at 15-under 273, earning $375,000 to lift her from fourth to second in the LPGA money-list behind Sorenstam.
"It was a great day. I was nervous at the beginning and then I kind of settled down out there. But coming down eighteen I was still nervous even though I had that pretty big lead," she said.
Creamer's victory saw her become the youngest player to pass the $1 million mark on the tour.
It is also likely to see her become the youngest Solheim Cup player when the US take on Europe in September. (AP)
