Farmingdale:
Jeev Milkha Singh could not keep up with his past performances in the US Open as he missed the cut after carding a disappointing three-over 73 in the second round at Bethpage Park here.
The Chandigarh golfer, who carded a horrendous eight-over 78 in the first round as rain played havoc with the tournament schedule, needed almost a miracle to stay in the hunt for weekend action.
But his three-over was not good enough as the cut was decided at 143 while Jeev's two-day total read 11-over 151.
In the second round, Jeev, battling a muscle injury, managed a lone birdie on the seventh hole compared to two bogeys on the sixth and 15th and a double bogey on the par-four 11th.
This is the first time that Jeev had missed the cut at the US Open.
