Lake Buena Vista:
With Space Mountain and DisneyWorld not far away, the PGA Tour's Funai Classic began in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on Thursday.
Tiger Woods, who lives just ten minutes away from the course, did well early on.
He played a nice tee shot on the 3rd hole, which led to a birdie that lowered his score to three-under par.
Then on the 5th hole, Woods birdied once more and his score was down to five-under par. Woods is at four-under after a 1st round 68.
Mixed fortunes
Nick Price, who has had year of mixed fortunes, is just two shots shy of the leader, Hunter Haas.
Price's approach shot on the 9th hole left him well within birdie range, and Price would indeed make birdie on the hole to lower his score to seven-under par. Price recorded a 1st-round 65.
Steve Lowery is one of six golfers tied for second place at eight-under par, one shot behind Haas.
Yet Lowery might well be tied with Haas if not for a birdie putt that lipped out on the 18th hole.
Lowery carded a 30 on the front nine, and then a 34 on the back nine for a 64. One of those six golfers sharing 2nd place is Geoff Ogilvy.
Ogilvy and Price are the only non-Americans among the top 10 players after the opening round. (AP)
