New Delhi:

Yuvraj Singh was rooting for Fernando Alonso and while the Spaniard finished seventh in his Ferrari, Yuvraj seems to have enjoyed his time on the Bahrain International Circuit on Sunday.

Yuvraj, who returned to India from Boston last week after receiving treatment for a rare germ cell cancer, was a special guest of leading Bahrain businessman and a keen cricket fan Mohammed Dadabhai and his family. The cricketer absorbed all the action of speed and precision that makes for a Formula One race and despite the tight security because of protests, managed to see the race to its completion.

He later tweeted that he expects Ferrari to come back hard in the season. "no worries ferrari will come back just like me," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.

The cricketer was at the F1 race with VJ Ranvijay.
