Spanish Grand Prix Signs Three-Year Contract Extension

Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona has hosted every Spanish Grand Prix since 1991 with this year its 25th season in the sport.

Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya has signed a new three-year contract extension that will see it host the Spanish Grand Prix until 2019.

"We are extremely proud to announce this renewal in such a special year, marking the 25th anniversary of Formula One Grands Prix being hosted uninterruptedly at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. We thus extend this fruitful relationship with Formula One and we look forward to the next 25 years," spokesperson Vicenc Aguilera said.

Circuit de Catalunya took over from Jerez in 1991 and has hosted Spanish GP every year since then with this year its 25th season in the Formula One.
